A Celebration of Community and Philanthropy in the Bay Area

Date: Thursday, October 12, 6:00pm-10:00pm

Location: Terra Gallery, 511 Harrison Street, San Francisco, CA

We graciously invite you to the 2nd Annual LEADING THE WAY awards benefit gala, recognizing outstanding leadership to make the Bay Area a better place for all. Join us for a special memorable evening as we honor individuals and organizations who have made a lasting impact in San Francisco while enjoying delicious cuisine, cocktails, guest testimonials, entertainment, and the beautiful artwork of the Terra Gallery.

Presented in partnership with the San Francisco Business Times at the Terra Gallery, the celebration will recognize three honorees for their exceptional commitment and dedication to making a positive impact in our community through service, advocacy, and collaboration. Proceeds will benefit St. Anthony's mission to feed, heal, shelter, clothe, lift the spirits of people in need, and to create a society in which all persons flourish.

“The 2022 Leading the Way award winners are a remarkable group of visionaries who have done so much to strengthen our San Francisco community and deserve our recognition and gratitude,” said Nils Behnke, CEO, St. Anthony Foundation.

Emerging Leader: Joey Toboni created the Affordability Project, a nonprofit that is building 100% affordable housing for teachers, health care workers, and other local middle-income individuals. He also serves on multiple nonprofit boards and as a mentor through Big Brothers, Big Sisters. As Managing Principal of the Toboni Group – Residential, he oversees 50-plus employees.

Leading the Way: The San Francisco Giants baseball organization is deeply committed to identifying, supporting, and raising awareness for people, issues, and programs that are important to the team’s fans and local communities.

Community Partner: The Golden Gate Chapter of the National Charity League, Inc., chartered in 2018 has quickly grown into a force for empowering future women leaders through community, service, leadership, and cultural connections.
